From Glenn and Linda Dawson

I was raised in Lexington Kentucky and my career took me to Texas in 1967. In June 2002, we relocated our home base back here in Kentucky. I’ve been playing music for over 50 years.

After retiring in Texas we opened a recording studio and operated it from 1991 till we moved to Kentucky. During this time we worked with lots of other musicians helping them with recordings.

I’ve been playing music for over 50 years and love the older classic all time favorite easy listening music. We have hundreds of songs available for all occasions.

I play several instruments. In the early 80’s when synthesizers came into popular use, I began to experiment with computers to assist in creating music. I play a bass, alto and Bb clarinet, tenor, alto, and soprano sax, guitar and keyboards as well as the Yamaha WX7 wind controller. The wind controller allows me to synthesize a multitude of sounds that can be programmed into the instrument. We have the finest sound equipment available for our concerts complete with automated mixer and crossover network with woofer for that big sound without being loud. When we come to you to entertain you, we come as a team. We’d love to have the opportunity to share our rendition of some of those old wonderful tunes that we all still love to hear.

Glenn is a very talented musician, and plays many different instruments. His style ranges from Southern Gospel, Country, Jazz and Smooth Listening. The South Texas Gospel Music Association voted him the Gospel Musician of the Year. He is endorsed by the North American Mission Board of the SBC.  His secular program is of the same quality. Glenn is a humorist and magician. A custom program for your occasions is his specialty.

Their accompaniment music is created in their own small music production facility using computers to create wonderful arrangements of music in many styles. These styles can be adjusted to meet the needs of many different tastes. This music is reproduced at performance via computer to give a live feel to the performance. Linda operates the computer and sound system and with over 300 songs to choose from they are bound to come up with a program to meet your needs.

Glenn and Linda have had hundreds of public appearances the last few years Their schedule continues  to fill up.  For over five years they were full time staff of a family show production at Country Place Jamboree in Frankfort, Kentucky. Linda worked as Stage Manager there and Glenn as member of the Weekend Warriors Band. After a most enjoyable time with the sweet people of Country Place, they left Country Place to work in the production of a syndicated bluegrass radio program. They are working with Ed Commons, producer and owner of Red Barn Communication and House of Commons Films. They are working with the support of the city of Lexington to preserve the art that finds its roots in the mountains of our state. Ed Commons is producing a new recording of originally material being written by Glenn. A sample of this work can be heard by clicking on the photo on the home page of this site. Glenn and Linda are now making plans for a new show in cooperation with Red Barn and the city of Lexington to produce a live all original material web cast on WGAD.NET. The programs will benefit the artists of the Kentucky area. They  have monthly shows for The Holiday Retirement Corporation at two locations, Ashwood Place in Frankfort and Hartland Hills in Lexington.  They also schedule solo shows on request.
